Pornography production of any sort is strictly prohibited in Uganda and those who perpetrate it get arrested and face heavy penalties. This already difficult situation has become even more complicated after The Ugandan Parliament passed what is probably the most anti-LGBTQ+ bill in the history of Global legislation, with penalties going all the way up to the DEATH PENALTY for what they call "aggravated homosexuality", something that potentially applies to people who engage themselves and others in homosexual acts in sex webcam shows - a practice quite common in that industry. It is therefore a FACT that people who work as online sex webcams models in Uganda are under clear, present and potentially MORTAL danger.

I am writing this in order to alert everyone that a number of companies, incorporated in Europe and America, operate online sex webcam platforms which incentivize and pay for cam sex work in Uganda while they are in full knowledge that pornography production of any sort is strictly prohibited in this country and even though they know that those webcam models (both young girls and boys), lured by the money offered by these companies, are in danger of arrest and incarceration. Most of these models are very young girls that are unaware of the illegality of their actions and upon arrest, beyond getting jailed for some time, they also acquire criminal records (not to mention the social fallout that follows). Uganda recently introduced a law that is extremely strict on crimes related to homosexuality, prescribing very heavy sentences for relevant offences. Given that those webcam sex websites routinely promote homosexuality as well as stage homosexual shows, the already existing situation of Ugandan youth seeking money urgently but ending up getting arrested and possibly serving heavy prison terms, will only get worse not to mention inevitably tragic in some cases. I implore everyone reading this to help Uganda's youth escape those dangers by formally requesting from these companies to stop incentivizing and paying for illegal pornography creation in your Uganda at the cost of destroying young lives that could take a perhaps slower but much more rewarding path.
